Taylor Frankie Paul's season of The Bachelorette has been canceled days before it was set to premiere.
According to People, ABC has pulled season 22 of the The Bachelorette ahead of its scheduled premiere on Sunday, March 22 in light of serious concerns involving the reality TV star. The move comes hours after TMZ shared a disturbing video from 2023 of Paul getting physical with her ex Dakota Mortensen, including throwing chairs at him while her daughter was reportedly in the room. The outlet reports that Paul previously pled guilty to aggravated assault for the incident.
"In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family," a spokesperson for Disney Entertainment Television said in a statement on Thursday (March 19).
The decision to cancel Paul's season of The Bachelorette follows another alleged domestic dispute between Paul and Mortensen from February, with a spokesperson for the Draper City Police Department confirming an open "domestic assault investigation" involving the exes and that "allegations have been made in both directions."
Paul's other reality show The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives also halted production of its fifth season last week amid the recent investigation, per Page Six.
Paul and Mortenson began dating in summer 2022 but split before January 2025, when she confirmed they went their separate ways. They share 2-year-old son Ever. She is also a mom to daughter Indy and son Ocean, whom she shares with ex-husband Tate Paul.
