The nominees for the 2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame have been revealed.

On Wednesday, February 25, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation announced the nominees ahead of its 2026 induction ceremony. 17 artists from various genres were nominated for induction, including previously nominated acts Mariah Carey, Billy Idol, The Black Crowes, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Oasis, and Sade. Pop star P!nk and Latin sensation Shakira became first-time nominees, along with the legendary Lauryn Hill, Wu-Tang Clan, New Edition, Luther Vandross, Phil Collins, INXS, Jeff Buckley, and Melissa Etheridge. Fans can begin voting for the new class now.

"This diverse list of talented nominees recognizes the ever-evolving faces and sounds of Rock & Roll and its continued impact on youth culture," said John Sykes, chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation.

Artists are nominated to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame after their first commercial recording celebrates its 25th anniversary. They're inducted under three categories: Musical influence, musical excellence, and the Ahmet Ertegun Non-Performer Award. Mariah Carey and Oasis were first nominated in 2024 and have been selected each year ever since. Rock legends Billy Idol and The Black Crowes were nominated for the first time in 2025, while Iron Maiden has been nominated three times since 2021. Sade earned her first nomination in 2024, and Joy Division / New Order were selected in 2023, 2025, and 2026.

The Class of 2026 will be revealed in April, while the induction ceremony will take place later this year.
