Britney Spears is "yearning" for connection.
The "Gimme More" singer, 44, penned a vulnerable message to her Instagram on Wednesday (February 4) reflecting on loneliness and admitted she feels "lucky" to be alive after years of family drama.
"As people, all we really want is to feel connected to each other and never feel alone ... for those of you in your family that have said to help you is to isolate you and make you feel unbelievably left out ... they were wrong," she said. "We can forgive as people but u don't every forget. Yearning and longing for contact is always crucial !!!"
She continued, "I'm incredibly lucky to even be alive with how my family treated me once in my life and now I'm scared of them. It's weird how God works in mysterious ways. My friends, what do you think he is saying today ??? Because to be totally honest with you, no matter what he says, they will never take responsibility for what they did."
Spears seems to have found some connection, sharing that she made a "pretty damn good cheesecake" and enjoyed it with a neighbor. She also revealed that she has taken a break from dancing for the past month because she "broke my toe twice."
The "Baby One More Time" hitmaker is no stranger to airing out grievances with her family and speaking on the pain she endured throughout the 13-year conservatorship she spent under father Jamie Spears, which ended in 2021.
