Kelly Clarkson confirmed the current seventh season of The Kelly Clarkson Show will be her final one.

Clarkson shared a statement on Monday afternoon (February 2), expressing her gratitude and detailing her decision to end her run on the Daytime Emmy-winning talk show. She said stepping away from hosting the show will allow her time to prioritize her children in this chapter of life. Clarkson is a mother to daughter River Rose, 11, and son Remington “Remy” Alexander, 9, both of whom she shares with late ex-husband Brandon Blackstock. Blackstock, a talent manager and TV produced, died in August 2025 after a battle with cancer. He was 48.

“I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at TKCS [The Kelly Clarkson Show], both in Los Angeles and New York,” Clarkson began her statement. “There have been so many amazing moments and shows over these seven seasons. I am forever grateful and honored to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for, all the talent and inspiring people who have shared their time and lives with us, all the fans who have supported our show, and to NBC for always being such a supportive and incredible partner.

“Because of all that, this was not an easy decision — but this season will be my last hosting TKCS [The Kelly Clarkson Show],” Clarkson continued. “Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives. This isn’t goodbye. I’ll still be making music, playing shows here and there, and you may catch me on The Voice from time to time…you never know where I might show up next.”

The Grammy-winning artist is set to return to The Voice with coaches Adam Levine and John Legend for the Battle of Champions, premiering on February 23 on NBC. It will be available the following day on Peacock. Clarkson concluded her statement, writing, “for now, I want to thank y’all so much for allowing our show to be a part of your loves, and for believing in us and hanging with us for seven incredible years.” See her full statement here:
