Amanda Seyfried and Kelly Clarkson make an excellent duo.

During an appearance on Tuesday's (January 27) episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, the Mamma Mia! actress and the American Idol alum broke into a spontaneous duet of Clarkson's song "Beautiful Disaster" after Seyfried called it "the power ballad of this century," per People.

The Jennifer's Body star specifically noted that the live version of the track, which originally featured on Clarkson's 2003 debut album Thankful, was the superior choice, and even the singer herself admitted it was her "favorite."

"I don't like the other version — so sorry," she said, hilariously apologizing to the audience. "But I love the live version!"

Clarkson then made Seyfried's dreams come true when she suggested that because "you can sing live and you sing well and we're both here" that they sing the song together, and the actress excitedly begged, "Could you let me do that?"

The duo did exactly that. Backed by the live band, Seyfried sang the melody as Clarkson added moving harmonies through lyrics like "I don't know what he's after/ But he's so beautiful/ Such a beautiful disaster." After their impromptu performance, and overcome with the moment, Seyfried immediately collapsed back into the sofa with a big smile on her face as Clarkson jumped up to give her a hug and told her to "come sing it with me in Vegas" for her rescheduled Studio Sessions residency.
