Emma Heming Willis made a heartbreaking confession about her husband Bruce Willis amid his dementia diagnosis.

Emma spoke with Cameron Rogers on the Wednesday (January 28) episode of her Conversations with Cam podcast where she shared that the Die Hard actor, 70, "doesn't know" that he has dementia and was "never tapped in" to his health struggle, per People.

"I think that's like the blessing and the curse of this, is that he never connected the dots that he had this disease, and I'm really happy about that. I'm really happy that he doesn't know about it."

Willis' family announced in 2023 that he had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, and like others with dementia and mental health conditions, he also has anosognosia, a condition where your brain can't recognize one or more health conditions you have, according to the Cleveland Clinic.

"People think this might be denial, like they don't want to go to the doctor because they're like, 'I'm fine, I'm fine,' actually, this is the anosognosia that comes into play," Emma explained. "It's not denial. It's just that their brain is changing. This is a part of the disease."

Despite the actor's diagnosis, he sill has a special bond with his loved ones and is "still very much present in his body." Emma shared that his family has "progressed along with him" and that he has a "beautiful" way that he connects with his family.

"He has a way of connecting with me, our children that might not be the same as you would connect with your loved one, but it's still very beautiful," she said. "It's still very meaningful. It's just — it's just different. You just learn to adapt."

Bruce's daughter Rumer Willis, 37, whom he shares ex-wife Demi Moore, shared an update on her dad's health in November, breaking down the difficulty in answering fan questions about how he is doing. The Fifth Element actor is also a father to daughters Scout, 34, and Tallulah, 31, with Moore, as well as Mabel, 13, and Evelyn, 11, with Emma.
