Paris Hilton is sharing how she learned to heal from the painful experiences of her past.

Hilton sat down with Jay Shetty for a vulnerable conversation on the January 21 episode of his On Purpose podcast where she reflected on telling her story across different mediums, from her 2020 documentary This Is Paris and 2023 autobiography Paris: The Memoir to her new documentary film Infinite Icon: A Visual Memoir, which follows her musical journey.

"I feel like this is a trilogy, like my healing experience... and now with this third part, with this music documentary, and really just going into my journey through life but seeing it through the lens of music and just how healing music has been to me," she said. "I really believe that music is something that saved my life, just going through so much in my life, through so much trauma and pain, and I always remember the one thing that would always make me so happy was music."

The I am Paris podcast host explained that she wanted to "dive back into" her love of music and "[revisit] a dream of mine," years after releasing her self-title debut album in 2006.

"Since I was a little girl, I've always loved music, and then releasing my first album in the 2000s. I just feel like I was just so underestimated back then, and now I really feel like I'm taking back my power and my voice and showing people a side of me they'd never seen before."

On Purpose with Jay Shetty has a focus on mental health and aims to help listeners feel understood in the challenges and hurdles they face in life.
