Having Dinner with my Son in Person for the First Time!

I'm pretty proud of my efforts at social distancing, despite how difficult it has been not seeing family. My husband and I have been able to continue our weekly dinners with my son, Dakota, and his girlfriend Bre on Zoom. However, now that we're allowed to gather with less than 25 people, we have invited them to the house for dinner. We're ordering and picking up some pizza and wings. (Yeah, my diet season is not working out with everything going on this year. Perhaps, I'll re-start it on Monday.) We are going to set up our propane fire pit in the driveway with some chairs. They are bringing their own beverages so that we can maintain social distancing. We won't share hugs but we will share food, laughs, and love IN PERSON. I'm so excited to see them!

On a side note, I attended a funeral today at the cemetery. There was about 89 people there, but I felt very safe. We all practiced social distancing and wore masks. I don't think anyone came closer than 10 feet to us. This was above the 25 allowed and I guess we got into trouble, but how can you control how many people want to attend someone's funeral? How do you tell someone they are not allowed to pay their final respects to a lost loved one? We have to make some adjustments while we're all just trying our best to figure everything out. Stay safe!

With Love,
